Stourbridge MCC’s 7th & 8th September 2007 Motor Chicken! Well it’s not often I’ve been on a guest list but this one’s a first as it’s for a rally! The Stourbridge MCC have been rallying for years and this the 9th is at Stoke in Bromsgrove, recently holding several rallies ie. Past It Zimmer Frame and The Heart of England, it’s becoming the premier site for get-togethers! Fri Nite I walked in on Motorkill really goin’ for it! With their new line up and set list featuring new additions to the already classic set ‘Chase is better than the catch’ and ‘Jailbait’ were two of my old personal faves. With a stage show very reminiscent of one of Lemmy’s old videos they continued to wail thru ‘Born to Raise Hell’, ‘In the Name of Tragedy’ and ‘Damage Case’ makin’ this old rocker quite happy! Rounding off the evening with ‘Bomber’ and ‘Overkill’ brought the proceedings nicely to a close with a feedback filled room! Sat Nite was one of those nites that just got better meetin’ loads of Rockin’ Bikers I hadn’t seen in ages. First of all I was blasted with a support band really kicking out the classics ‘Lick it Up’ by Kiss was bringin’ back memories, then I notice the band are four very young kids of around 14-15 years old? Absolutely Incredible! ‘Live & Rockin’! as on their new CD! They were ‘Breaking the Law’ like Priest on the ‘Highway to Hell’ with ACDC, and throwing in four tracks of their own ‘Twisted’, ‘Be With You’ and another ‘Cricket Club Jam’?! It fitted nicely between the covers, getting much applause from both hairy bikers and immensely proud parents. It was hard to spot Who enjoyed it the most!
